You can delete your Flashy account (“Flashy: Flip”, developed by Omar Abdullah) and all of its data at any time — directly in the app, or by sending us a request.
1. Delete your account in the app
The Delete Account option appears only when you're signed in.
- Open Flashy and make sure you're signed in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete Account again (or Keep Account to cancel).
- For your security, you may be asked to confirm your identity — enter your password, or continue with Apple or Google, depending on how you signed up.
Your account and its data are deleted immediately and you're signed out.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, you can ask us to delete your account:
- Email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”, from the email address you used in Flashy (or include it in the message).
- Or use the contact form and choose Support.
We may reply to verify that the account belongs to you. Requests are completed within 30 days, and we'll confirm by email once your data has been deleted.
3. What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details (name, email address and user ID).
- All your decks, flashcards and folders.
- Your study history, review schedules, progress, daily goal, streak and statistics.
4. What isn't deleted automatically
- Shared decks: copies of decks you shared by link, and decks other people already saved to their own accounts, may remain available. Email us and we'll remove any shared links you created.
- Emails you sent us: support messages stay in our inbox until you ask us to delete them.
- Settings on your device (language, appearance, reminder intervals) are removed when you delete the app.
5. Using Flashy as a guest?
If you never created an account, your data is stored only on your device and we don't have a copy of it. Deleting the app removes it completely.
